At the time of cold war and also before cold war a new friendship came into notice of the world that was of democratic India and communist Soviet Union.The story starts from the second world war when the three big leaders of the world that were Stalin,Roosevelt and Churchill took part in a meeting known as Yalta conference.Stalin was representing Russia that was attacked by the Hitler and Roosevelt want a positive and powerful stand of America in the second world war and He also know that If Russia would win this war alone over the Hitler than the power of Europe would slip away from the hands of one dictator to another that was also the another reason why the America took part in second world war.Churchill was there with the hope that allied powers could help them about their losing colonial power in the world and also save their country from Hitler's agression.So that was the starting point of the cold war in 1971 India and Russia signed an agreement of peace and cooperation for 20 years according to which If any country attacks India then the attack would be recognised as an attack on Russia whose result we have seen in the 1971 war.In My next blog I would take up the things of 1970 to 1990.
